Vincent Scoma

August 8, 1942 — January 17, 2011

Vincent J. Scoma, 68, of Lewisburg died suddenly Monday night at Evangelical Community Hospital.

Born August 8, 1942 in Jamestown, New York he was a son of the late Salvatore and Sarah Ognibene Scoma.

Vince graduated from Encino High School in California.

An Air Force veteran, he served in Vietnam.

Vince retired from the human resources department of Trans World Airlines after thirty years with the company.

A ten year resident of Lewisburg, he was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

A sister, Grace Scoma Ray preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Walter; children, Vincent J. Scoma of Oceanside, California, Steven and his wife Debra Scoma and children of Taliesin, Arizona, Michael and his wife Jennifer Scoma and children of Temecula, California, Sara Scoma of Vista, California, Sean and his wife Deborah Dougherty of Jayess, Mississippi, and Jennifer and her husband Stephen Hons and children of Danville, Pennsylvania; and a sister, Sandi Scoma Graves of Irvine, California.

Celebration of Vincent’s Life will be held on Friday with a Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM in the Church of the Sacred Heart, 8th and St. Louis Streets in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Private interment will be held in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania.
