Richard Templeton

Richard J. Templeton, 76, of Wilkes-Barre died Friday at Riverstreet Manor.

Born September 18, 1934 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Edward and Cora Thomas Templeton.

Richard was a graduate of Hanover High School and served with the Army in Germany during the 1950s.

Richard was a printer for Wilkes-Barre Publishing Company for many years before retiring.

An infant son, Christopher and brother, Edward Templeton preceded him in death.

He will be missed by his wife of fifty years, the former Anne Reidlinger; children, Rick and his wife Debbie Templeton of Danville, Leo and his wife Eileen Templeton of Shavertown, and Madlene and her husband Dean James of Shavertown; grandsons, Cory Templeton and Brandon James; brothers, Charles Templeton of Nanticoke, Thomas Templeton of Swoyersville and William Templeton of Virginia; sisters, Elizabeth Wallace of Mechanicsburg, Jane Thomas of Hanover Township and Ruth Templeton of Virginia.

Celebration of Richard’s Life will be led by Monsignor Joseph Rauscher on Sunday at 4:30 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Sunday from 3 to 4:30 PM
