Margaret White Fay

Margaret White Fay of Shavertown died Saturday April 24, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center Plains Township.
Margaret was born March 3, 1952 the daughter of Joseph E. and Marcella McCormick Fay. The granddaughter of William Morris and Carolyn Runner Fay of West Pittston and Peter J. and Margaret White McCormick of Wilkes-Barre.
Margaret attended Schuyler Avenue School in Kingston, afterward Margaret's great friend and companion, Ida Shelly Miller continued additional education with Margaret for over twenty five years.
Margaret enjoyed travel with her family and cross country skiing. She had a special affection for dogs especially the family pet schnauzers.
She was a member of Saint Therese's Church community of Shavertown and was a member of its prayer ministry.
Margaret is predeceased by her beloved father and best friend Joseph E. Fay in 2001.
Surviving are her mother the former Marcella McCormick and sister Carolyn ( Christy ) Fay at home, as well as numerous first cousins of both the Fay and McCormick families.
A celebration of Margaret's life will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Therese Church, Shavertown. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call Thursday 5-8.
