James B. Jescavage
November 28, 1955 — February 20, 2010
James B. Jescavage, 54, a resident of Timber Ridge and, formerly, Valley Crest died Saturday, February 20th at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born November 28, 1955 and raised in Kingston, he was the son of the late Thaddeus Lewis Jescavage and Helen Kennedy Bennett.
James engaged many activities at Valley Crest and earlier, through the ARC. He was an animal lover and faithfully attended religious services. James was known for his great sense of humor. He was determined to overcome his disabilities, and with the help of his devoted parents and many kind people he had many happy moments in his life.
His family extends their appreciation to all the staff and volunteers at Valley Crest and Timber Ridge for the wonderful care he received.
His sister, Paula Jescavage died October 25, 2004.
Surviving are sisters Karen Bernard and her husband John of Croton-on-Hudson, New York and Janet del Rosario and husband Bartolome of Marlboro, New York.
Celebration of James’ life will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at McLaughlin’s Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. A private service will be held at Hollenback Cemetery.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to the ARC of Luzerne County, 183 Market Street, Kingston PA 18704
