Florence Jumper

Florence Jumper, 100, of Wyoming died Sunday at Hospice Community Care.

Born May 30, 1913 in Wyoming she was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Catherine Brennan Ward.

Florence was a graduate of Saint Cecelia's High School.

Prior to her marriage to George Jumper in 1959 Florence worked for EmKay Manufacturing in West Wyoming for more than twenty years.

Florence was a member and communicant at the Church of Saint Cecelia in Exeter throughout her life.

Her husband, George Jumper died December 21, 1985. Eight sisters and brothers also preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews through several generations.

Celebration of Florence’s Life will be held Friday with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Cecelia, 1700 Wyoming Avenue in Exeter. Interment will be in Saint Cecelia's Cemetery in Exeter.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to the Church of Saint Cecelia, c/o Parish of Saint Barbara, 28 Memorial Avenue, Exeter, 18643 or Hospice Community Care, 601 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, 18704.
