Thomas Mills, 76, of Wilkes-Barre died Friday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
Born April 30, 1938 in New York City he was a son of the late Ralph and Mary Mae Melville Mills.
Tom retired from the New York City Department of Education for which he served as a security officer for many years.
His wife, Rose Marie Westcott Mills preceded him in death.
Tom will be greatly missed by his daughter, Audrey and her husband Robert Gowan of Wilkes-Barre; son, Thomas and his wife Kathy Mills of Stamford, Connecticut; grandchildren, Jennifer, T.J., Taylor and Tara; other family and friends.
Celebration of Tom's Life will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island.
