Patricia M. Dougherty

Patricia M. Dougherty, of Allentown, died Sept. 18 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born in and raised in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anne (O’Hara) Mitchell.

Patricia was a proud employee of the Bell Telephone Company for many years and after moving to Allentown and raising her family she enjoyed being the afternoon secretary at Parkland High School for seventeen years, retiring this past August. She was a member of Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Orefield.

Patricia will be greatly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Maribeth and George Silvaney of Erdenheim, Ann and Bob Meagher of Collierville, Tennessee, Karen and Tim Green of Ardmore, Kathleen and Brian Wiley of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Adam (wife Laura), Andrew and Sam Meagher, Jacqueline Gerhard, Ryan Green; great-grandson, Luke Meagher; sister, Margaret Sabatini of Larksville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald F. Dougherty and brother Thomas J. Mitchell.

Celebration of Patricia's Life will begin Thursday with visitation from 5 to 8 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue Friday with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Church of St. Joseph the Worker, 1879 Applewood Dr., Orefield, PA 18069-9507.
